AI will continue to take your jobs until you do this

AI makes it easier. It simplifies your tasks and enhances your efficiency.

It gives you the polished edge and you sound intelligent, highly efficient and sharp!

AI is your new best friend at work, and you love it, just as thousands of others love AI

AI will provide the same responses to you as it will provide ten thousand persons who ask the same question, albeit slightly different sometimes, depending on word prompting and IP addresses used. This makes you sound like every other person using AI – intelligent!

Thus, increasing the ease with which you can be replaced because you have become like every other person.

It gets even worse.

You can develop new processes, systems and procedures (for any industry) in less than sixty minutes using AI. It reads great. You copy it, make a few changes and implement it in record time – Bravo! Or so you think. You feel great for the creation of an exceptional Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) ‘supported’ by AI. You have markedly increased your efficiency and productivity level. Congratulations! Until it is being scrutinised by the external users from other teams or interface committees, the illusion may shatter.

There is now an increased level of homogeneity across applicants at job interviews – candidates look the same, act the same reciting rehearsed answers crafted by algorithms rather than sharing authentic personal stories and experiences in very similar manner compared to my experiences as a hiring manager decades ago. This trend dilutes individuality, rendering once distinct applicants indistinguishable.

Every applicant has the answer in their pockets through a tiny handheld machine. This is done by twenty other applicants, applying the same effort to ‘humanise’ the answers so that it sounds different, all twenty-one candidates doing the same thing, using AI

You lose your uniqueness, experience, personal stories and knowledge to several clicks of a button, producing multiple generic yet seemingly humanised responses from AI.

The essence of who you are and what makes you unique disappears. It is replaced by an AI ’ed version of a once interesting person who has lost the beauty of their emotive uniqueness of interactions and experiences.

The absence of your personal aura, sharing and using your knowledge and experiences through your unique personal story, authenticity and uniqueness, is what will largely taking your jobs not the rise of Artificial Intelligence.

Emotional intelligence, interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, adaptability to new challenges and circumstances, and creative thinking are among the many human attributes that AI cannot easily replicate. More intricate qualities such as negotiation and conflict resolution, which rely heavily on personal emotional intelligence, make it even more difficult for AI to mimic these essential human capabilities.

So, instead of allowing AI to diminish your unique voice, leverage on its intelligence and capabilities to elevate your individuality. Share your personal stories, experiences, and insights that uniquely defines you.  Use AI as a tool to complement your human qualities, not replace them.
